Choosing a Corporate Fiscal Year End
A company was incorporated Sept. 9, 2010. What would be the corporate fiscal year end?

For your first fiscal year end, you have some flexibility in choosing your first year end, but it should be no longer than 52 weeks after incorporation date.

I agree that you have some flexibility in choosing this. And your first year doesn't have to be a full year. I would suggest thinking about when the business is slowest as we all know that the fiscal year end requires a lot of our attention.

Good bookkeeping includes accurate payroll and correctly computing taxes.
